First Bangladeshi to complete the UEFA Certificate in Football Management (UEFA CFM), a certificate of advanced studies in Football Management certified by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). Ahmed Shaaek received a Certificate of Distinction in the course.
Ahmed Shaaek has been passionate about football from the very beginning and thus he completed FA Coaching Level-1 through The Albion Foundation in 2011 under The FA. He worked for Fulham FC Foundation as a Community Development Assistant Coach in 2011. In 2012, he became the football coach of BRAC University followed by his appointment in IBA, University of Dhaka in 2015.
In 2018, Ahmed Shaaek joined as the Marketing and Media Manager of Bashundhara Kings. He also works as the AFC Club Licensing Manager and FIFA Transfer Matching System (FIFA TMS) Manager for Bashundhara Kings. Currently, he is a Member of the Bangladesh Professional League Committee in the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). Recently he completed the AFC C Coaching Certificate by The Asian Football Confederation.
Ahmed Shaaek manages two professions. Currently, he is the Country Operations Manager at Mott MacDonald, Bangladesh office. He served as a Project Manager for the Independent Engineer (I.E.) team for the first-ever PPP Project in Bangladesh, the Dhaka Elevated Expressway PPP Project from 2014 till date. He completed his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) from American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) in 2010 and his Masters of Science (M.Sc.) in Energy & Power Electronics from the University of Warwick in 2012, and last but not the least Executive MBA from IBA, University of Dhaka in 2015.
